The Sharon Independence Day celebration is funded entirely by your
donations. We receive no financial support from the Town of
Sharon.
Dear Friends:
It’s that time of year again. Planning for the 2012 Sharon Independence
Day Celebration is underway and we need your support! The festivities
are completely funded by your donations. It is through your generosity
that we can provide a quality Independence Day Celebration for our
community.
We thank those
who have donated in prior years, and ask those who have not donated in
the past to reconsider. The quality of the fireworks, entertainment,
and activities are fully dependent on your donations. Please consider
making a donation as soon as possible. This does not preclude you
from making an additional donation on July 3rd or at another time
should you determine that you are then able to contribute more.
Donations from area businesses are also needed and requested.
We are proud that Sharon continues to hold an Independence Day
celebration every year, maintaining a tradition that is over fifty
years old. Our celebration helps our community come together around
Lake Massapoag to celebrate the birth of our country, and is reflection
of the spirit that makes Sharon such a special place to live.
The festivities will be held on Tuesday, July 3rd, 2012 at Memorial Park
Beach. Activities will include the carriage and bike parade, live
musical entertainment, clown, train rides, community oriented booths,
and fireworks.
The size of our fireworks display will depend on the amount of money we
raise before the end of May. Please send your donation via the

We are currently seeking volunteers in all capacities (ongoing and/or
July 3rd only) to assist with the scheduled events. Please email

1) Place a donation in our donation buckets on July 3. Donation
buckets will be located at the main entrance on Beach Street as well as
the secondary entrance on Gunhouse Street.

3) Donate online using PayPal - it is fast, secure, and easy.
You can print out a receipt or have it e-mailed to you.
The PayPal service allows anyone to donate any way they prefer, using a
credit card or a bank account, without sharing any financial
information with the Sharon Fourth of July Committee.
