The 2015 Schedule of Events:

Sunday, June 28, 2015:
9:00 AM - Sharon Five Road Race - for more information, go to our Road Race page

Friday, July 3:

4:00 PM - Bicycle and Doll Carriage Parade - the parade will travel on Beach Street to the bandstand.  (Line up at Beech Tree Park at 3:45 PM, and admire all the decorations!)

4:30 PM - 9:30 PM - Lakeside Celebration, including:

4:30PM - Face Painting and craft activities, at the picnic tables on the grass outside the bandstand, organized by the Sharon Recreation Department

4:30 A variety of food and drinks will be sold 

Popcorn, Ice Cream, and other treats

Variety of foods from the Snack Shack at the beachfront

Sharon's third annual Food Truck Fair - featuring many of the Boston area's finest food trucks. Scheduled to appear are...

The Dining CarCaptain Marden's, Away Cafe, Cookie Monstah, Boston Burger CompanyThe Pasta Pot, Ruby's Ice Cream and Frozen Lemonade, The Slush King, and Basanona Brew!

- Carnival Games

- Train Rides and slot car racing from  Roaming Railroad . The Roaming Railroad is a Sharon Independence Day Celebration tradition!

- Climbing Wall! (note: participants may wish to bring their own helmets)

- 4:30 pm - dusk: The New England Revolution Street team, featuring an inflatable soccer goal to kick into, and a Xbox/FIFA 15 setup to try out.  They will also have a Revs Academy coach available for kids to speak with and learn a few skills!

 7:00 PM - Pie Eating Contest ($50 first place prize, must be 18 years or older to participate.   Sign up at the main gate with a Sharon Independence Day Committee member)

- Live music (8:15 until 9:30) featuring the U.S. Navy Band Northeast Pops Ensemble!


9:30PM -  Fireworks!

The Sharon Independence Day Celebration Committee is proud to announce our first annual photo contest!  It's a great way to share some great photos of this year's celebration and have some fun!  The winner receives a 4-pack of tickets to see the New England Revolution's July 18th match vs. New York City FC at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, courtesy of the New England Revolution!

All you have to do is tweet us a picture taken on July 3, 2015 during the Sharon Independence Day Celebration using Twitter to @sharonjuly4 with the hashtag #Sharon4TheWin 

Pictures must be posted by Tuesday, July 7 at 3 PM.
