The 2013 Schedule of Events:

4:00 PM - Bicycle and Doll Carriage Parade (line up at Beech Tree Park at 3:45 PM)
4:30 PM - 9:30 PM - Lakeside Celebration, including:
4:30PM - Face Painting and craft activities, at the picnic tables on the grass outside the bandstand, organized by the Sharon Recreation Department
5:00 PM - Performance by Benjamin the Juggling Clown at the Bandstand, followed by an hour of balloon animals and on-the-spot magic/clown tricks on the grass outside the bandstand. Sponsored by Little Sprout Academy
Hands-on Animal exhibits and rides from Sharon's Sunnyrock 4-H club (weather permitting, from approximately 4:30 until 6:30)
4:30 ***Sharon's first ever Food Truck Fair*** - featuring many of the Boston area's finest food trucks --
The Chubby Chickpea (large selection of Mediterranean and vegetarian entrees, including sandwiches, entrees, salads, and sides)
The Dining Car (Freshly prepared American fare, with bread baked right on the truck. Best of Citysearch winner: Best Food Truck in Boston, 2011),
Boston's Baddest Burger (Burgers, grilled chicken, and deli sandwiches, using local sources like Kenneally meat and Iggy's rolls)
Captain Marden's Seafoods (from the famous Wellsley, MA seafood store...featuring chowders, salads, sandwiches, and plates)
The Cookie Monstah (Fresh batch, from scratch cookies baked in the truck!)
4:30 Hot dogs from Sharon's Boy Scouts (Troop 95), including a special Family Meal Deal. Great food at a great price!
- Carnival Games
- Train Rides and slot car racing from Roaming Railroad . The Roaming Railroad is a Sharon Independence Day Celebration tradition!
- Live music featuring Sharon's own Dred Sox! The Dred Sox play a great variety of good time music - "a unique and tasty musical gumbo of Reggae, Ska, Swamp Blues, Boogie, and Rock and Roll"
8:00 PM - Pie Eating Contest ($50 first place prize, must be 18 years or older to participate. Sign up at the main gate with a Sharon Independence Day Committee member)
